Thanks.

Actually I have the author as Julia Ecklar, who I remember being on the
blanket NO-permission list...so if I can glean the lyrics I will send them
privately...

I really have to learn to do research BEFORE I post.

I only see attributions to Diana Gallagher. The version I heard was SUNG by
Julia Ecklar and Leslie Fish, which I guess is why I got confused. Whoops.

Anyway *she* isn't on the list either so I guess the same rule still
applies.

feeling dumb,

Lindsay

Fish ever sang. The other is Nightmare Launch, Fish's song about
Challenger, which may be her saddest."

You might reply to the blogger that "Nightmare Launch" is actually a Mercedes
Lackey lyric, with music by Fish.

Fly, Columbia!
Words and music by Diana Gallagher
If Diana Gallagher gave you permission to post the lyrics, you should
have made that clear. If she didn't, you had no business posting them.

Is Diana on the Blanket Permission list? You should only post the
actual lyrics to the newsgroup if you have permission. Sending a
single copy by email directly to the person requesting is also
generally OK, that's not considered "publishing".
Columbia, the promise of better days to come --
Columbia, proud mistress of the wind --
As I recall, that should be "sky", not "wind".
