"Would You Like to Kythe"
ttto "Up, Up and Away" by Jimmy Webb
New Lyrics by Jeff Urs 2024

Would you like to kythe in a mitochondrion?
Way down deep inside in a mitochondrion?
We could help the farandolae deepen, you and I,
For we can kythe, we can kythe!

Down, down in this place where the farae root, the farae roam so free!

The world's a wider place, once we've stopped and taken root,
We can dance in space, once we've stopped and taken root,
We can sing a song with all the stars above the sky,
For we can kythe, we can kythe!

Down, down in this place where the farae root, the farae roam so free!

You cannot see how we lost all boundaries,
But roots have moved us beyond all motion,
And in this place too small for skies or seas,
We share our every notion, sail on every ocean.

Love is waiting here in this mitochondrion,
Dark becomes so clear in this mitochondrion,
If you'll stop and root, we'll teach you how to walk the skies,
For we can kythe, we can kythe!

Down, down in this place where the farae root, the farae roam so free!

Down, down in this place,
Down, down in this place...

Nice, but I don't understand a thing. The only L'Engle I've read were
a couple of the Wrinkle In Time books.

Mitochondria, farandolae, and Deepening are important elements of the
second of those, _A Wind in the Door_.

Thanks. I know I read it, but it was a *long* time ago. I don't think
I disliked it, but I know I didn't think it was as good as the first.
